All TruEats products have a “Best By” date printed on the back of each package for your convenience.
We use natural ingredients, and no artificial preservatives in our products, so we do not recommend consuming a product past the best by date located on the back of each package.
Sustainability is important to us at TruEats, and we continuously review ways to reduce our carbon footprint in our manufacturing and packaging processes. Currently, however, due to our need to ensure product freshness and quality, our packaging is not recyclable.

Erythritol is a naturally occurring sweetener that, according to the Calorie Control Council and FDA, has no calories per serving. It is produced through a natural fermentation process using a natural yeast that digests a simple sugar called dextrose and other nutrients. After fermentation the erythritol is filtered and dried into crystals. Fermentation occurs naturally in a variety of different foods and beverages such as yogurt, wine and beer.
It is a safe sugar alternative that’s Diabetic-Friendly because it has no effect on blood glucose or insulin levels. The World Health Organization (WHO) approved erythritol in 1999, and the FDA did the same in 2001
Grown in Southeast Asia, monk fruit is a small, green gourd that resembles a melon. Monk fruit has been used for centuries in Eastern medicine to help blood sugar management. As such, sweeteners made with monk fruit don't impact blood sugar levels. Naturally sweet, monk fruit has no calories, carbs or fat.
Xanthan gum is a food additive used for thickening and stabilizing. Sunflower lecithin is an emulsifier and is made by dehydrating a sunflower and separating it into three parts: oil, gum and solids. The lecithin comes from the gum. Sunflower lecithin is rich in choline and other essential fatty acids such as phosphatidylinositol.
According to the FDA, natural flavorings are “derived from a spice, fruit or fruit juice, edible yeast, herb, bark, bud, root, leaf or similar plant material…. whose significant function in food is flavoring rather than nutritional.”
All the ingredients in our products are approved by the FDA as “Generally Regarded as Safe”. We have made every effort to formulate our products with ingredients that are natural, found in nature or derived from natural sources. However, the definition of “natural” is ambiguous and controversial. Therefore, we do not claim our final products to be 100% natural.
Information about added sugars is required on the Nutrition Facts label. This means that the food hasn't had sugar added to it as an ingredient. A food that has "no added sugar" might still taste sweet and can still contain sugar because sugars occur naturally in food such as fruit and milk.
Yes, ALL TruEats products are Low Glycemic, as prepared. Meaning the finished product that you consume after following the preparation and baking directions on the package is Low Glycemic.
Glycemic index is a number ranging from 0 to 100 assigned to a food that refers to how fast your body converts carbs into glucose.
The smaller the number, the less impact the food has on your blood sugar. 55 or fewer is considered “Low.”
A low glycemic (low GI) diet may result in weight loss, reduce blood sugar levels, and lower the risk of heart disease and Type 2 Diabetes.
“Diabetic-Friendly” means that these foods can be enjoyed by all people including those with Diabetes because the foods have been formulated to be sugar-free and meet guidelines for good health in terms of fiber, saturated fats and sodium.
TruEats products are a good source of protein. The nutritional claim of a food being a “Good Source of Protein” means that the food, as formulated, contains 10-19% of the Daily Value or 5-9.5 grams of protein per RACC (Reference Amount Customarily Consumed).
TruEats products are a good source of fiber. Daily Value for fiber consumption is 28 grams per day. To make this nutritional claim, FDA requires that the food must contain at least 10% of the Daily Value or 2.8 grams of fiber per serving of the food.
Our products do NOT contain artificial sweeteners. Consumers, by their choice, may use additional products at home such as sugar-free syrups that may contain artificial sweeteners to minimize total consumption of sugar in their diets, but all TruEats products contain NO artificial sweeteners.
Yes, ALL of our mixes and sweeteners are naturally Vegan as packaged. This means that no ingredients are derived from animals or animal byproducts, including eggs, honey and dairy.
Over 90% of our food ingredients are Plant Based, meaning they are solely derived from plants such as lentils, legumes, pseudocereals and tree nuts. Minor ingredients such as Salt, Baking Soda and Cream of Tartar are food approved ingredients used in food products to develop desired food taste and texture.
Yes, ALL of our ingredients and finished products are gluten-free! AND we test the finished product for gluten after each production run.
Yes, ALL of our ingredients and finished products are free of GMO’s and in compliance with the FDA’s non-GMO labeling requirements.
We are evaluating the Non-GMO Project certification on our products. The certification requires an added cost which we want to avoid passing on to our consumers so as to ensure all of our products remain affordable and accessible.
Currently, our products are not Kosher. The facilities where we manufacture our products are Kosher certified. We are in the process of evaluating how best to get our products Kosher certified and will communicate any updates on our product packaging and website.
Currently, our products are not Organic. We continue to carefully select our ingredients, and have high quality and food safety standards for all of our suppliers. As our business grows, we will evaluate the feasibility and cost efficiency of the Organic certification process, and communicate any changes.

Due to the variety of personal allergens and dietary restrictions / sensitivities, we have taken great care in ensuring we call out any and all of the major allergens on each package.
Tree Nuts are present in our bakery mixes, as almond flour is one of the ingredients.
NOT present in TruEats’ products, but potentially present within the same processing facilities are products that may contain peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, dairy, eggs and soy.
Please see the product’s ingredient statement to identify any other specific allergens or ingredient sensitivities that may be relevant to you and consult a physician if you are unsure.
TruEats mixes contain almond flour. These packages contain a warning that states the product contains almonds. TruEats Premium Sweetener does NOT contain almonds.
All of our product formulations do NOT contain peanuts, wheat, dairy, eggs or soy. The manufacturing facility where we produce our products also manufactures other products that may contain these ingredients. While we ensure that the equipment is cleaned thoroughly prior to manufacturing our products, very small particles of other allergens may be in the air from the other products manufactured in the facility. If present through cross contamination, these allergen levels are at such low levels that they are difficult to measure by current techniques.
While our products do not pose allergy risks for general public, trace amounts from airborne particles may be present in our products from other products made in the plant. We provide this information on potentially trace amounts of allergens for highly sensitive consumers.
If you have been diagnosed as highly sensitive to any of the allergens listed on our products, we recommend that you consult your physician prior to consuming TruEats products.
All of our mixes and sweeteners are naturally Vegan as packaged. The mixes and recipes can all be prepared Vegan when you substitute out the milk and/or eggs called for in the directions, and substitute in your favorite milk and/or egg replacers.

There are many milk alternatives available that are dairy free and gluten free. Almond and Coconut milks are good options, particularly those that are unsweetened. Oatmilks are another good option as they are not only dairy-free and gluten-free, but also nut-free for those with nut allergies.
